A day in the life (July 2015)

July 22, 2015

10:00 AM: After a hectic morning (in which I forget to take photos), we meet up friends at the Hermitage to see the Above the Fold exhibit. Because we're there a few minutes before them, I take the chance to snap a few shots of A. by the fountain. I love taking photos on the grounds of the Hermitage, they are so beautiful in any season and there is a lot of "scope for the imagination."

11:00 AM: Anouk and Ada haven't seen each other in almost 24 hours so obvi they have a lot to catch up on. I love watching these two play together.

12:00 PM: Snacktime!

12:30 PM: The kids play for a little while while M. and I chat. It's so hilarious/tragic to see how much baby P. wants to be one of the big kids!

1:45 PM: Good moms don't take their kids to McDonalds for lunch but tired pregnant moms sometimes do. PS: the toy in A.'s happy meal is the minion that says "what the fuck" and James and I can't stop playing with it.

3:30 PM: It's crape myrtle time in Norfolk and the whole street is lit up with various shades of pink and purple. It's really pretty.

6:30 PM: Some after-dinner playtime, including chalking the walk with every Disney princess we can think of. Anouk got this crazy reclining bike from James's parents years ago but just finally grew into it this summer. It's pretty awesome, all the neighborhood kids have tried it out (and some of the parents, too).
