In the [pool] bag
July 17, 2015
We've been spending a ton of time at the pool this summer, and have learned that packing the pool bag is an art rather than a science. You've got a lot of things to consider when deciding what to bring with you: comfort, safety, and play. Here is the basic plan we've come up with for making sure we've got all needs met. You'll need:
- a bag: cute, big enough to hold everything, but not so fancy that it can't stand a little pool water
- a mermaid towel: because of course
- sunscreen: we love this all-natural mineral sunscreen
- a float: this "turtle shell" was recommended by A.'s swim teacher for building confidence
- sunglasses for mom: I've developed a sunglasses addiction this summer (sunglasses always fit)
- sunglasses for the kid: because the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends them!
- diving rings: they can be makeshift crowns, keep little ones entertained, and are great for making friends
What's do you pack in your pool bag?
